The clue

Friends,

It’s great to be back with you this morning. If you’re a guest with us today, welcome. We trust that your time with us this morning will be a blessing.

Brian and Judy continue their journey around our remarkable continent. Please continue to pray for them and God’s cover and refreshing for them.

This last week (and the weekend in particular) have been a remarkable celebration of part of our history - the place from where we’ve come. But where our future will take us remains a mystery that many would love to know.

One of the intriguing characteristics of our walk with God is that He doesn’t necessarily tell us that. In fact rarely does He do so. When He called Abraham (or Abram, as he then was), He told him to get up and leave “your country, your people and your father’s household and go to the land I will show you.”

In other words, the clue is not ‘where am I walking to,’ but ‘who is walking with me’.

Security, for us, comes not from knowing our future but from knowing our Saviour, the Lord Jesus. The circumstances we face and the people we meet we can trust to His, knowing that He will be with us in all of them.

Enjoy your journey this week,

Richard
