As Michael shared with us last Sunday about his ministry amongst the poorest of children in Myanmar and Thailand, we were reminded of the difference one person can make in the life of others as they reach out in love.
While the call on each of our lives will be different, it’s amazing how - in God’s plans and purposes - people encounter the love of God in the love shown to them by you and I reaching out, encouraging and supporting them in their lives.
The character of our lives and the love we show in our families, in our friendships, in encounters in community is what makes a difference.
It can bring hope, joy and peace.
It can build people up to face difficult times or in simply getting on with the business of living.
You and I can make a difference. That’s the wonder of the gospel message. As we are transformed by Jesus coming to live within - through his Spirit - we can make a difference in His world.
As the Apostle Paul puts it:
‘For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works,
which God prepared in advance for us to do.’
