Commitment Sunday

Balwyn AnglicanComment

Friends,

Commitment Sunday

“ The harvest is plentiful but the workers are few

Ask the Lord of the harvest, therefore, to send out workers into his harvest field. ”

- Matthew 9:37

As we gather this morning we commit ourselves afresh to be those who go out. Who go out with the message of the gospel written on our hearts and desiring to share it - both in word and action, with our families, friends and with our community.

We commit ourselves to the life of His church and to each other; to supporting financially and with our time the life we share as the people of Balwyn Anglican.

It is for this gospel ministry God has planted us in this place.

Pray that he might equip us and give us such a heart for Him and His kingdom purposes that we might be found worthy of this trust He has put in us.

For His names sake.

Brian

Financial Appeal 2014 - Thank You

Our thanks to each and everyone who has found it possible to respond to our recent request and contributed to the financial appeal 2014 in such an amazing way.

We are pleased to be able to report that, in a little over six weeks, our congregation has so far contributed a total of $10,340 meaning that the support given by our parish to CMS (supporting the Thompson family) and MAF (supporting the Little family) can continue.

It has also been possible to make some smaller financial contributions on behalf of the parish to Bush Church Aid, Anglicare Victoria and Anglican Overseas Aid as in previous years, fulfilling our Mission Giving obligations.

Many thanks again,

Alison, Lynn, Iain and Cameron
Treasurer and Wardens, on behalf of the Parish Council.
