Our faith is lived in the cut and thrust of our day to day lives.
People so often encounter the love of God in the love shown to them by you and I reaching out, encouraging and supporting them in their lives. The character of our lives and the love we show in our families, in our friendships, in encounters in community, is what makes a difference. It can bring hope, joy and peace. It can build people up to face difficult times. Or simply provide strength to get on with the business of living.
You and I can make a difference.
That’s the wonder of the gospel message. As we are transformed by Jesus coming to live within, through his Spirit, we can make a difference in His world. As the Apostle Paul puts it:
‘For we are God’s handiwork,
created in Christ Jesus to do good works,
which God prepared in advance for us to do.’
