Prayer - Powerful & Effective

Balwyn AnglicanComment

Friends,

We were reminded in our Tuesday afternoon Life Group this week of the critical importance of prayer for seeing God moving among us and through us as His people. It is through prayer that we avail ourselves of the power He offers to us and to His church, to bring about His plans and purposes in our lives and the life of His world.

As a response, we have affirmed our intention to spend some part of every time we gather together in prayer for one another and for our church - Balwyn Anglican - and its ministries.

Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God.
(Philippians 4:6)

The prayer of a righteous person is powerful and effective.
(James 5:16)

I pray this might be for all of us our intention and heart’s desire.

Brian
