Balwyn Anglican

For those who served

Balwyn AnglicanComment

Friends,

Today we welcome members of the Balwyn Branch of the RSL, together with cadets from Camberwell Grammar School as we again remember those who served in the armed forces to protect our freedom.

We are indebted to them for their bravery and sacrifice and come to honour them and pray that their sacrifice was not in vain and that we would see a time when there will be no more war or raising up of arms by one nation against another. We pray that through Jesus, our Lord and Saviour, the prince of Peace, we may discover and experience that transformation we so long for in our world through the power of His name.

Blessed be the peacemakers for they shall be called the children of God.
(Matthew 5:9)

In sure hope and expectation.

Brian
