Balwyn AnglicanComment

"All of you, be like-minded, be sympathetic, love one another, be compassionate and humble"
- 1 Peter 3:8

The lessons for term 2 will follow Peter's message of love and concern for others.

One way of showing our love and concern is through sponsorship. Did you know that Balwyn Anglican sponsors 2 children? It is hoped that the Sunday School children will become involved with this worthy cause by writing to, and supporting, Thi Hong Dinh from Vietnam and Keerthika Sinnarasa from Sri Lanka.

There will be a combined Anzac Day service on 24th April. This is a time to reflect and show our respect for the sacrifice of others.

We remember the coming of the Holy Spirit at Pentecost on 15th May and the children will celebrate the "birth of the church" in a special way.

Another combined service will be held on 29th May.

With the help of the Holy Spirit, the disciples changed people's lives. Lessons in June will focus on three (a lame man, an Ethiopian, and Lydia).

St Barnabas Day combined service - confirmation (with Bishop Genieve) and lunch on 12th June will be a great time of thanksgiving, fellowship and celebration.
